UPDATE (2): February 21, 2004

Airbrushed the base color. This layer consists of a grayish-pink color using Liquitex's Sandalwood/Paynes Gray/Raw Sienna and a touch of Red Oxide.  The color was airbrushed in a randomly flowing spray pattern to intermix with the underlying gray primer.  Once dry, I sprayed a single coat of Testors Dullcote to seal it.

UPDATE (3): February 22, 2004

The base skin layers are finished.  Using a "noodling" technique to airbrush the paint, 3 seperate layers are laid down to create a subtle mottling of the skin and emulate the deeper muscles & veins.

Using the base color as a foundation, I mixed in a few drops of Paynes Gray + Raw Umber and laid the first random layer.  Red Oxide was then added to this mix and sprayed tighter overlapping layer.  Once dry, I thinned down the original base color and lightly missed over the whole kit to blend.  Once again, a single coat of Dullcote to seal.
