UPDATE (6): February 24, 2004
So far so good...I'm happy with the work finished yesterday and today. Here's a quick rundown:
1) Thinned FW's Sepia Ink with alcohol to a 50/50 ratio and shaded the creases, muscles, stretch marks, eyes and ears. Used the same mix to also detail the facial features and whip marks on the back (I really can't leave those alone!).
2) Taking the base coat and mixing it with Red Oxide, single drops of Paynes Gray and Raw Sienna, I hit the top of the kit's features to tint the flesh. I also used the same mix to blend in the details under the eyes and ears.
3) Sprayed the tan skin tone, mixed yesterday, in a light mist to blend everything together.
4) Dullcote!!!...I'm on the second can now ;)
4) Using a very fine brush, I carefully added the liver/age spots, using the thinned Sepia ink in a random pattern and in various sizes.
5) Once dry, I went over each and every spot (OUCH!) with a soft fine brush dipped in alcohol to blur the sharp edges.
6) Airbrushed veeeeery carefully over the spots with the same ink. This is to both blend AND lightly fade the spots.
7) Need I say it again...D-D-D-Dullcote! (Testors should pay me a fee, hehe)
8) Spent the next 3 hours in an oxygen tank to purify my lungs ;)
OK, enough with the blab...here are the pics:
